Programme Summary

Climate change is transforming the business landscape globally, presenting new challenges and shared opportunities. Ireland’s ambition to transition to a low carbon and environmentally sustainable economy will be driven by the preparedness of businesses and the workforce, demanding new skills.

The Sustainability Pass has been designed to develop participants knowledge of sustainability awareness and best practices across the workforce in key climate action topics including the impact of climate change on Irish businesses.

Participants will understand the impact of their workplace’s environmental and sustainability strategies and how they can support, irrespective of their position or level.

Participants who successfully complete the Sustainability Pass programme will receive a certificate of completion.

The Sustainability Pass is suitable for members of the workforce working across all sectors at any professional level.

Structure & learning experience

The Sustainability Pass is a short, self-study online programme.

The course includes the following engaging and interactive online learning modules:

Sustainability.
Climate Ready.
Energy.
Travel.
Waste.
Water.
Biodiversity.
Assessment for Certification.

Assessment:

A final assessment will be completed at the end of the programme. Learners will be required to select the best sustainable choices in a variety of workplace scenarios. The pass mark for this assessment is 80%.

Digital Credential:

Learners who successfully complete this programme will receive a certificate of completion.

Who is eligible?

The Skillnet Climate Ready Academy is a fully funded up-skilling initiative designed for owner-managers and leadership teams of private sector businesses across all industry sectors in Ireland.

Certain businesses are not eligible to participate in the Skillnet Climate Ready Academy including:

• Non-Commercial Public sector organisations.
• Charity or not-for-profit organisations.
• Businesses based outside the Republic of Ireland.

Designed and delivered in partnership with enterprise.

Skillnet Climate Ready Academy was designed following extensive consultation with businesses operating in a range of sectors. Skillnet Ireland are an enterprise agency whose role is to ensure their programmes are aligned to national policy and evolving commercial needs. 20FIFTY Partners are the delivery partner for the Skillnet Climate Ready Academy, they collaborate closely with industry to design world class, innovative training programmes that are delivered by experts and apply best practice methodologies centred on sustainability and the green economy. Skillnet Climate Ready Academy also work in partnership with government and enterprise agencies including IDA Ireland and Enterprise Ireland.
