The Skillnet Climate Ready Academy is a fully funded upskilling initiative designed for employees of private sector businesses across all industry sectors in Ireland.

Certain businesses are not eligible to participate in the Skillnet Climate Ready Academy including:

  • Non-Commercial Public sector organisations.
  • Charity or not-for-profit organisations.
  • Businesses based outside the Republic of Ireland.

All Skillnet Climate Ready Academy training programmes are fully accessible online.

Full training programmes consist of live, tutor-led workshops.

Our eLearning introductory modules are self-paced – as they are not live or tutor led.

Full training programmes consists of 5 to 6 x 2hr live, tutor-led workshops.

Typically, the duration of our training programmes varies between 8 to 12 weeks, with a mixture of a weekly or fortnightly 2hr live workshop.

Yes. All workshops are recorded to watch back if you miss a session. Please note a minimum live workshop attendance applies, as in the question above.

To fully complete a training programme, you are required to attend a minimum of 2 to 3 live workshops along with a final assignment submission and charter presentation participation.

You are expected to have access to a laptop or PC with webcam and microphone to join the live online workshops.

You should have basic user knowledge and access to MS office suite (Excel and PowerPoint) to complete your assignments.

No, learners in various roles can attend our training programmes.

A micro-credential is a module level award. You can stack 3 micro-credentials to avail of, and apply for, a Certificate in Sustainable Resource Management from The University of Limerick.

Please note: You are required to register and apply personally for any of the above awards from University of Limerick, the Academy will provide relevant registration links.

Next programme start date will be detailed on each individual programme page. Programme workshop schedules are sent via email with the place offers to successful applicants.
